Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluation techniques, research methods and statistical analysis skills. This role will require a blend of analytical rigour, creativity, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluation and Reporting: Support the Evaluation of program effectiveness and efficiency using quantitative metrics and help prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Data Analysis: Utilize statistical software to analyse complex data sets, employing appropriate quantitative techniques.
- Support the Design and Implementation of Research Projects: Support the development and execution of research protocols, designing surveys, experiments, and other data collection methods.
- Maintain Data Integrity: Ensure that all evaluation and research adhere to ethical standards, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of data.
- Publication: Contribute to scientific papers, reports, and presentations
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Support internal customers within the MER team, Projects team, and external stakeholders to provide quantitative insights.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest quantitative evaluation, research methodologies, and industry trends.
- Capacity building: Support capacity building within the team through training and mentorship on quantitative methodologies and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Population Studies, Public Health or a similar field
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quantitative research and evaluation, preferably in the public health sector.
- Skills:
- Expertise in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in data visualisation and reporting tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- An understanding of academic and report writing skills is desirable. Publications are a plus.
- Experience with Qualitative Methodologies and Tools is a plus, e.g. Atlas-Ti, NVivo.
Working Conditions:
- Work from the Office only.
- 5 days working.
- Occasional travel may be required for data collection or field research.
